Security & data

Prepare appropriate access, understand project data and organise retention.

Practical guideEnglish

Before you begin

  • Identify footage, voices, faces and confidential information in the project.
  • Read the applicable privacy policy and contractual documents before providing sensitive content.

Step by step

  1. 01

    Limit data

Prepare only sources needed for the project. Hide confidential information in screenshots and check permissions concerning people and assets.

  2. 02

    Assign access

Use individual accounts and limit permissions to each person’s needs. Review them after delivery or departure.

  3. 03

    Organise retention

Define what the team retains after publication: sources, project, exports and approval records. Check applicable retention and deletion provisions; do not assume every storage type follows the same rules.

Practical example

Practical example

End-of-project inventory: footage retained by the client, approved exports, people still authorised and the next retention review date.

Review checklist

  • Submitted content is necessary for the project.
  • Authorised people are identified.
  • The team knows the retention and deletion rules.

Troubleshooting

I need to make a data-related request

Prepare the request type and account or project reference without attaching sensitive documents. Email contact is being prepared; the Contact page explains its current state.

I need security evidence

The Security page describes commitments and documents to examine. A public website statement does not replace a contract or control evidence.
