Import footage
Prepare readable files and diagnose an interrupted upload.
Before you begin
- Keep the originals and check that every file plays locally with sound.
- Gather duration, size, resolution and codec information. Applicable limits are those displayed in your product workspace.
Step by step
- 01
Organise the sources
Use clear names such as workshop-wide-shot-01. Separate footage, music, voice and logos; remove duplicates and unused takes.
- 02
Check compatibility
An extension is not enough: two MP4 files can use different codecs. If a file is rejected, preserve the original and prepare a copy in a format accepted by the product.
- 03
Check transfer completion
Keep a stable connection during transfer. Before editing, check each source’s name, duration, picture and sound in the project.
Practical example
Project folder: 01-footage / 02-voice / 03-music / 04-brand. A working copy does not replace a backup.
Review checklist
- The source count matches your selection.
- Duration is correct and sound is present.
- The original copy remains available outside the project.
Troubleshooting
Upload appears stuck
Check your connection and service status. Record the exact message and time. Then test a small, non-sensitive file to distinguish network issues from source issues.
Picture is black or sound is missing
Play the file locally. If the same problem appears, return to the original recording; otherwise record the audio and video codecs for diagnosis.
