This policy explains the use of cookies and trackers on the website olympe-ai.fr (the "Website") published by Olympe AI, in accordance with Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act, the GDPR and the recommendations of the CNIL.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed and read when browsing a website, application or advertisement. During its validity period, it can recognise the device, store information or measure audience.
2. Your consent
On first access to the Website, a consent banner (CMP) lets you accept, refuse or configure cookies. Refusing is as easy as accepting.
- Cookies that are strictly necessary for the Website to function are placed without consent (they are essential to providing the service).
- Umami audience measurement and any other optional tracker are activated only after your consent. Olympe AI does not apply a consent exemption to this measurement.
You can change your choices at any time via the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of the page. Your choice is kept for 6 months; after that, your consent will be requested again.
3. Cookies used on the Website
3.1. Strictly necessary cookies and storage (exempt from consent)
Essential to the functioning of the Website: session management, authentication, security, load balancing and local storage of the consent choice (olympe-consent-v2). This choice contains only the policy version, expiry date and accepted or rejected categories and is kept for 6 months.
3.2. Audience measurement
| Tool | Purpose | Trigger | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Umami (self-hosted at OVHcloud) | Viewed pages, allowlisted conversions and Web performance (LCP, INP, CLS, FCP and TTFB) | Only after consent; no audience-measurement cookie | Raw data ≤ 13 months, then deleted or aggregated |
Olympe AI uses Umami, self-hosted on its French OVHcloud infrastructure. The script is served from the olympe-ai.fr domain, without cross-site tracking, advertising, retargeting, session replay, heatmaps or persistent user identification. Measurement data is not sent to the Umami publisher and, in this configuration, is not transferred outside the European Union.
Depending on the page and measured action, Umami may process the page path without query parameters or fragments, date and time, referring domain, strictly allowlisted campaign parameters, language, device type, browser, operating system, screen dimensions, approximate country, predefined events and the performance measurements listed above. Names, email addresses, form contents, account or project identifiers, media URLs, authentication tokens and free-form error messages are excluded from the tracking plan.
To establish a cookieless session, the server technically receives the IP address and user agent to produce a pseudonymous session identifier and approximate location. These elements are not added to event properties.
3.3. Third-party, social-network and advertising cookies
To date, the Website does not integrate any social-network feature placing third-party cookies and does not use any advertising or retargeting cookie. Should such an integration be added in the future, it would only be activated after your consent and this policy would be updated accordingly.
4. Retention periods
The choice to accept or reject audience measurement is stored locally for 6 months. The active Umami database is purged daily so that no raw data is retained there beyond 13 months. Encrypted PostgreSQL dumps are created daily and retained for no longer than 14 days. Because a dump may temporarily contain rows already purged from the active database, every restore reapplies the 13-month purge before the service is brought back online. When the choice expires, consent is requested again.
5. How to manage or delete cookies
In addition to the Website's "Manage cookies" module, you can configure your browser to accept, refuse or delete cookies:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Refusing audience measurement does not affect the essential features of the Website. Withdrawing consent prevents all future collection.
